Your guide to natural cannabidiol (CBD).

What is CBD good for?

While there are many testimonials about the helpfulness of CBD, there is not yet much by the way of definitive clinical science ("hard science") to back claims up. That's not to say there is no evidence - early trials suggest promising results. We list some of those lower down the page.

CBD research

It is too soon to make any hard claims about CBD. However, testimonials (such as the ones here) suggest that there are many people who associate improvements with CBD usage.

As of 2019, clinical research on CBD included studies related to anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain. Overall it has been concluded that there is insufficient high-quality evidence that cannabidiol is effective for these conditions. That said, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that it may help.

Due to the "lack of strong evidence" we are not allowed to say that CBD is good for anything specific but we can point you towards testimonials and scientific reports that have found CBD to be potentially helpful.

Harvard Medical School

Harvard Medical School reported in 2021 that animal studies, self reports, and research in humans suggest that CBD may help in the following ways:

  • CBD can reduce anxiety
  • Insomnia: CBD may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep
  • CBD could help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis
  • CBD may inhibit inflammatory and neuropathic pain, which are difficult treat
  • CBD can help lower cravings for tobacco and heroin under certain conditions
  • CBD may also help lessen cravings for alcohol, cannabis, opiates, and stimulants

CBD Sleep Study: Sleep and anxiety

A sleep and anxiety study reported that Cannabidiol (CBD) may hold benefit for anxiety-related disorders but that controlled clinical studies are needed.

The final sample consisted of 72 adults presenting with primary concerns of anxiety (n = 47) or poor sleep (n = 25). Anxiety scores decreased within the first month in 57 patients (79.2%) and remained decreased during the study duration. Sleep scores improved within the first month in 48 patients (66.7%) but fluctuated over time. In this chart review, CBD was well tolerated in all but 3 patients.

CBD Testimonials

Therse are selected testimonials from customers of trusted CBD sellers.

This product has changed my 92 year old mums life, she was on so many painkillers for arthritis. About 3 years ago we found 1CBD and this is all she takes now! My husband also takes it and he has tried cheaper versions and says they don’t come close and so now we stick to 1CBD. Customer service is second to none and delivery is quick.

Top notch company, great service and the product is great. Bought the 20% oil and the balm and both feel high quality, but it's the effects that are a marvel. I had pain in my hand joints and my knees and they were reduced to almost nothing after a few days.

Matt's CBD story

Matt, who made this site, finds that CBD seems to help him with migraine, back pain (due to ankylosing spondylitis a form of spinal arthritis), and anxiety.
